Process Steps

Step 1

Applicant  Lodges application for permit electronically 

 

Step 2

Supervisor Veterinary Permits examines application

Step 3

Application is placed on hold.

 

Step 4

Application on hold for dairy and controlled  goods printed and passed to Director of VSD 

 

Step 5

 Director sends application to Agricultural Services Unit (ASU)

Step 6  ASU receives application  
Step 7  Director of ASU considers and prepares letter of rejection or approval  
Step 8

Director of VSD receives letter from ASU

 
Step 9

Supervisor of Veterinary Permits receives letters and change status in e-trade 

Step 10

Application Rejected?

If "Yes", Application is rejected in e-trade system and applicant receives rejection advice.

If "No", Application approved in e-trade system and applicant advised that import will be allowed.

Step 11

Payment method?

If Manual, Importer visits VSD office to make payment.

If Online, importer makes online payment. Go to Step 15.

Step 12 Pay advice prepared and given to importer.
Step 13 Importer makes payment to cashier
Step 14 Cashier accepts payments and enters details in system
Step 15  System issues receipt and Import Permit printed.
Step 16 Importer receives receipt and presents it to VSD
Step 17 Import Permit provided to importer
