Process Steps
Step 1 |
Importer lodges application for Import Permit electronically and approval letter from NEPA. |

Step 2 |
Supervisor Veterinary Permits examines application | |
Step 3 |
Application placed on hold for risk assessment and presentation of NEPA CITES Approval Letter (If not already submitted) |

Step 4 |
Supervisor Veterinary Permits receives assessment and NEPA Approval letter and passes to Director of permit approval. |

Step 5 |
Director Considers application and supporting documents. |

Step 6 |
Directors decision? If "Rejected", the application is rejected in the e-trade system and applicant notified of rejection via a private email. If "Approved", the application is approved in the e-trade system and importer advised import will be allowed along with applicable charges. |

Step 7 |
Importers chosen Payment method? If "Manual", importer attends office to make payment. If "Online", importer makes payment online. Go to Step 11 |

Step 8 |
Pay advice prepared and given to the importer |

Importer makes payment to cashier. |
