THE PESTICIDES ACT
THE PESTICIDES (AMENDMENT OF SECOND AND THIRD SCHEDULE) ORDER, 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by sections 9(2)and 14 (2) of the Pesticides Act, and of every other power hereunto enabling, the following Order is hereby made, after consultation with the Pesticides Control Authority:
1. This Order may be cited as the Pesticides (Amendment of the Second and Third Schedules)Order,2011, and shall be read and construed as one with the Pesticides Act (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act)and all amendments thereto.
2. The Second Schedule of the principal Act is amended by inserting the following entries in their appropriate alphabetical sequence—
carbofuran
chlordecone
endosulfan
lindane
sodium hydrogen methyl arsenate/ monosodium methyl arsenate (MSMA)
tributyltin (TBT)'
3. The Third Schedule of the principal Act is amended by deleting the following entries-
“ carbofuran
chlordecone
endosulfan
lindane
MSMA (Sodium hydrogen methylarsonate)”.
