Commencing Saturday, June 1, 2019, all used motor vehicles, including heavy duty commercial equipment must be sanitized prior to shipment. This additional element of inspection forms part of the existing Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) Programme. 
This will attract an additional cost, over and above the existing Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) fees. The additional cost will range from USD70.00 to USD150.00 per motor vehicle unit, depending on the type of motor vehicle. The procedure seeks to prevent plant and animal diseases that could have a significant negative impact on local agriculture and the environment.
