Where weight of import does not exceed 10,000 kg- $1,000 JMD

10,001 kg – 25,000 kg - $2,000 JMD

Over 25,000 kg- $3,000 JMD

Amendment to Import Permit- $500 JMD (Permit)

Import Inspection 

Where weight of import does not exceed 10,000 kg - $3,000.00 JMD per container

10,000 kg – 25,000 kg - $5,000.00 JMD per container

25,001 kg – 50,000 kg - $10,000.00JMD per container
(plus $0.05 for each additional kg)

The importer’s Tax Registration Number (TRN), including the branch number where applicable.

A maximum of twenty (20) items per application form. (There is no limit on the number of applications which can be submitted at any given time).
One (1) cheque per importer. This cheque may cover the cost for several application forms bearing the TRN of the same importer only. Payments cannot be combined on a single cheque for different TRN holders and/or permit applicants.

Upon registering to use the online service, users desiring to effect electronic payments will be required to provide an email address for receiving confirmation of their transactions.		  
     

 

Process Steps

Step 1

 If not registered with MOATS  then:

(i) Register with the Ministry of Agriculture Trade System (MOATS) 

Step 2

Reviewed required documents. You will be asked to provide  this information 
Step 3

Sign into the MOATS portal and complete application 
Step 4  Submit complete application form
Step 5

 

Pay the necessary fee (Please see Fees above)
