Step 1

If applicant is registered with JAMPRO  then : 

(i) Applicant should determine whether the item being exported is a precribed food 

If applicant is  not registered with JAMPRO  then : 

(i) Visit JExporter portal and complete registration 

Step 2

If exported product is a prescribed food then:

(i) Apply for and obtain an export certificate from BSJ for each shipment 

If exported product is not  a prescribed food then:

(i) Resgister with BSJ Fooods Inspectorate Department for appproval and inspection of processing plant 

Consult with the Bureau of Standards for general information regairding product standards as well as  labelling abd packaging specification  required for export 

Inquire whether your product to be exported may have special requirements and standard  for intended  export market 

Purchase and complete Export Entry Form C82 which is available the Trade Board or the Jamaica Manufacturer Exporters Association 

If product the applicant wish to export qualifies for perferential in overseas market then:

(i) Purchase the relevant form and obtain required Certificate of Origin 

If product the applicant wish to export does not  qualifies for perferential in overseas market then:

(i) Check shipping / air cargo rates and schedules as well as provision for Insurance coverage. Complete Packing List (by air) pr Docking Receipt (by sea)
